I wrote a Larry fluff and I cried while writing it.
Harry lay down on his bed, not even trying to fight back the tears anymore. He saw a picture of Louis on his nightstand. His tears were falling freely now, he reached over and grabbed the picture, holding it close to his heart. He looked at it until he couldn’t bear it anymore and he threw it across the room, watching the glass shatter. He thought about getting up and using the glass on his arms, but he wouldn’t do that, he couldn’t, he had to be happy for Louis. He couldn’t let Louis know how much this was hurting him. Harry cried all of the energy out of him, and then he fell asleep.
Liam and Zayn were at Niall’s house where Louis engagement party was being held. Louis knocked on the door and was greeted by three smiling faces. He hugged each of the boys and then made his way into the living room.
"Where’s Harry?" Louis asked.
"Don’t know, late I suppose," Liam shrugged.
"Hmm, that’s not like him," Louis pondered.
"Well, I’m sure he’ll be here soon," Zayn smiled.
No, Harry would not be there soon, the picture of Louis was shattered on the ground, and Harry was asleep, because being awake right now was too painful.
Hours went by, with no Harry. The other boys managed to have fun, talking about how happy they were for Louis and Eleanor. Louis was beaming with happiness, but he couldn’t help but feel slightly off without his best friend there. Louis wanted to ask Harry to be his best man. He decided that maybe it would be a good idea to call Harry.
Louis called Harry seven times with no answer, which had him worried. He wondered why Harry hadn’t texted him to say he couldn’t make it. Louis was hurt that his best friend didn’t show up to his engagement party.
Harry awoke at ten o’clock at night. For a moment he was content, but then the day’s events came flooding back to him, and the tears started falling again. He reached for his phone and saw seven calls from Louis as well as a few text messages and a voice mail. The thought of Louis made his stomach churn and before he could stop it, Harry leaned over the edge of the bed and threw up. He ignored Louis’ calls and grabbed his computer. He knew what he was about to do would only make him feel so much worse about himself, but he did it anyway, he typed in: Larry Stylinson on youtube and clicked on the first link. Pictures of him and Louis flooded the screen and it only made it worse that Lana Del Rey’s Videogames was playing as the background music for the video. Harry’s shirt was wet with his own tears, his eyes red and puffy. He shut his computer and decided that he should go for a drive to clear his mind. As he was walking out of his bedroom, he glanced in the corner at the picture of Louis, laying in a pile of shattered glass. He walked to his car and pulled out onto the street. He couldn’t stop crying and he didn’t want to, he thought he would never be okay again without Louis. He didn’t notice when he veered into the wrong lane until he was blinded by the bright lights of a huge pickup truck. He heard a loud beep and then nothing.
Louis had left Niall’s and was on his way to Harry’s when he noticed the car wreck. He peered over and saw Harry’s black Range Rover completely destroyed. Louis’ heart raced and he felt the tears already pouring down his face as he pulled over and ran to the scene. The paramedics were loading a larger man into the ambulance, he must have been the man driving the truck. Louis pushed his way past the paramedics and the police, running over to Harry’s car.
"Hey, you can’t go over there!" one of the cops yelled.
Louis didn’t hear him, all he saw was a bloody Harry sitting in the front seat of his car, he realized that he was stuck, the wreck had smashed the car into him and he was stuck beneath the steering wheel. Louis’ head was spinning because Harry was dead, right? Then Louis saw Harry’s mouth open and heard him mutter out “Lou.”
Harry was alive. Harry was alive and no one was helping him.
"HEY!" Louis yelled, "He’s alive over here! Why aren’t you doing anything?!" Louis screamed to the paramedics.
The paramedics rushed over, “We know, we have to figure out how to get him out.”
"But he could die in there!"
"We are doing the best we can, you shouldn’t even be here!" the man yelled.
"But he’s my best friend!" Louis cried as the police officers dragged him away, "Please don’t die Harry, please! I love you!" Louis screamed.
Harry woke up in the hospital and noticed Louis sitting in a chair in his hospital room crying and fumbling with his hands.
“Louis?” Harry croaked out.
Louis bolted out of his chair and ran over to Harry.
"Harry you’re okay, I thank goodness, I was so worried about you!" Louis said as he hugged Harry and buried his face into his neck.
"Please leave, Louis," Harry said, because he couldn’t be around him right now.
"What?" Louis asked, shocked, "Why do you want me to leave?"
"Just go," Harry said weakly.
"No Harry, talk to me!" he said, tears forming again.
"I can’t! I can’t be around you! I love you but you’re not mine! You’re engaged to Eleanor! That’s why I didn’t show up to your stupid fucking engagement party!" Harry shouted, tears pouring down his face.
"Harry," Louis choked out, "you love me?"
"Stop please, don’t hurt me even more," Harry sobbed.
Louis climbed on top of Harry and grabbed his face, bringing their lips together.
"God if I had known, Harry," Louis said as he reconnected their lips.
Harry couldn’t think clearly, all he knew was that the lips he dreamt about every night were on his, Louis’ lips were on his and as cliche as it sounds, he felt sparks.
"I love you so much Harry. I didn’t think you wanted me," Louis cried as he kissed Harry again, "I’m so glad you’re okay. I thought I was never going to see you again. The thought of you gone makes me want to rip my own heart out. God, I’m sorry I ever let you go Harry."
Then Harry is looking up at Louis with a look of total love and adoration. And there’s something else in his eyes. Something akin to trust. And for a brief moment, Harry looks to Louis like the same scared little kid he met on the X Factor. Harry connects his lips with Louis’ once more.
"But you’re engaged to Eleanor," Harry suddenly got sad again.
"I’m gonna take care of you baby, you’re the only one I’ve ever wanted. You’re the one I’m gonna marry some day, not Eleanor, not anyone else. The only time I will ever walk down the aisle is if you’re standing at the end. I love you more than you will ever understand, and I won’t let you go ever again."
Harry nodded and cried pulling Louis closer to him and kissing him once more.
"I love you Louis," Harry said while Louis curled into his side, both boys falling asleep.
And in that moment, Harry knew that he would never again be sleeping alone.
